About me

WHO AM I

Guillaume COAT is a fast-growing entrepreneur.

From Joiner to Artisan d'Art Woodturner, here's a look back at his career.

It all began in 2018, when Guillaume launched his own woodworking business, Confection Bois.

He specializes in interior fittings, particularly kitchens and dressing rooms, as well as exterior fittings, terraces and garden furniture.

A year later, he stumbled across a woodturning video. He gave it a try. The first object to emerge from his wood lathe was a pen, a tribute to his late grandfather. Guillaume had given him a handcrafted wooden pen a few years earlier.

He quickly developed a passion for the art. It all clicked, and a bevy of pens blossomed from the wood lathe.

Over the years, the range has expanded to include razors, razor holders, shaving brushes, corkscrews and perfumery accessories. Because yes! Everything is possible in wood!"

The PAM by Confection Bois collection was born.

In July 2020, woodturning became the company's exclusive activity.

Eco-responsible wooden creations.

PAM by Confection Bois is a collection of unique, handmade objects created in Guillaume COAT's workshop. He uses over 220 species of wood from all five continents. To source his wood and mechanisms, he makes a point of selecting suppliers whose companies are located in France. The various species are sourced from sustainably managed forests. He also has partnerships with local landscapers to promote short supply chains.

Each piece is unique, and each carrelet is shaped by hand on his wood lathe. Guillaume COAT, depending on his mood, takes a wooden carrelet and fixes it on his lathe. He begins to apply the gouge to attack the rough edges. Then, instinctively, chip by chip, he lets the magic of his art work its magic, creating a unique piece before our very eyes. He lets the nobility, grain and colors of each wood species express themselves.
